Metroid Fusion: Death of Varia by Tanooki128 Metroid Fusion: Death of Varia by Tanooki128
This is the third picture in the Metroid Fusion series that I'm doing, and time-wise it takes place second.

After Samus' Power Suit was infected with the X-Parasite she had to have large parts of it removed in an attempt to preserve her life. I call this scene "Death of Varia (Suit)".

Not many people know that underneath the Varia Suit there's that extra layer of metal that resembles the human muscle structure, so I decided to add that in as a special treat for Metroid fans :P

I was originally going to clean up the line art and then color it, but I thought that the gritty lines fit the tone of this scene very well so I left them.

Well, if you enjoyed this pic let me know about it :D

Oddly enough, The varia suit was reborn during the events of the game, thanks to the X parasite that infected samus. It multiplied and copied her DNA to create the SA-X, a perfect copy of samus at full power
and thanks to this a idea similar to this one struck me making how probably they turned samus suit into the PED one.....such badass concepts and they dont use them but in just 1 game
i will tell you a curiosity all games from metroid are before fusion nothing after....strange

cusiority makes many things

I know right? The fusion suit at the end of the game looks really cool and they haven't used it at all since. Such a waste...
yup such a waste... they think they ruined samus by that....nooooooooooooooope it makes her cool

i love fusion *w*
Good job, but the inner layer of the suit was originaly intended for Chozoian warriors, thus being patially modified for samus.

Nice. I remember this scene, and was like, "Nooooes! Don't take away the suit~!! D:"
I'm amused that someone finally realized that concept that there is metal underneath the armor...and used it.
Nicely done, this is the first time I've seen something of this...depth regarding Metroid art on dA.
I'm impressed with the gritty look. Really suits the piece. Really adds layers of passion and emotion.
I'm surprised that this idea isn't more widespread here on dA...but here is one work that stands out. Kudos!
